Virtual Workshops

The post-conference virtual workshops are free. Workshops are offered March 11, 18, and 25 via Zoom. Please see details below.

Friday, March 11 (9:00 – 12:00 PM CST)  – Watch HERE

Workshop: Concepts of Programming HPC and AI for GPU Accelerated Infrastructure

Speakers:

  • Kashif Chauhan, Solutions Architect, NVIDIA
  • Sanjay Choudhry, Senior Director, NVIDIA
  • Clement Etienam, Solutions Architect, NVIDIA
  • Jeff Larkin, Solutions Architect, NVIDIA

Description: This collection of talks presents the main concepts of HPC programming by outlining how GPU acceleration is exposed in general-purpose programming languages. The Nvidia platform acts as a bridge between the application and the device specific implementation on GPU hardware. The talk focus on the most recent programming practices for todays accelerated applications whether on-prem or in the cloud. NVIDIA Modulus is a neural network framework that blends the power of physics and partial differential equations (PDEs) with AI to build more robust models for better analysis. Whether you’re looking to get started with AI-driven physics problems or designing digital twin models for complex non-linear, multi-physics systems, the talk on NVIDIA Modulus and Reservoir Simulation PINNs provides insights to leverage accelerated PDEs in applications.

Additionally, you will learn how to leverage RDMA based technologies like GPU Direct P2P, and GPU Direct Storage to accomplish low latency communication and reduce CPU overhead. Specialized network adapter cards like Socket Direct and Multi-Host further complement these goals by enhancing data throughput to GPUs by optimizing PCIe communication, minimizing QPI traffic, reducing CPU utilization, and lowering latency. As you move from scale-up to scale-out implementations for your science and algorithms, you will find these talks beneficial to optimize compute, data movement, and computer science.

Schedule:

  • 9:00 – 10:00 AM | Programming the NVIDIA Platform (Jeff Larkin)
  • 10:00 – 11:00 AM | Modulus | Reservoir Simulation with PINNs (Sanjay Choudhry, Clement Etienam)
